Who We Are
We are a group practice passionate about supporting individuals living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Complex PTSD (CPTSD). Our approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive, grounded in values of attunement, non-stigmatization, and validation.
We’re dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people who feel they’ve tried everything and are striving to build a life worth living. At Chiron Centre, we foster a safe, compassionate environment where both clients and clinicians feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow—individually and collectively.
The Role
We’re seeking a therapist with a strong foundation in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-focused care who is passionate about working with individuals and families impacted by BPD and C-PTSD.
This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who value relational, evidence-based work and want to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of remote practice within British Columbia.
As an independent contractor, you’ll have the autonomy of private practice while benefiting from a connected, supportive team through regular meetings, networking, and peer consultation.
What You’ll Do
Provide virtual individual therapy sessions utilizing DBT and trauma-focused approaches tailored to each client’s needs.
Offer complimentary consultations to prospective clients to ensure a strong fit.
Optionally facilitate DBT skills groups or couples/family sessions aligned with your training and interests.
Co-create collaborative treatment plans that emphasize empowerment and integration.
Participate in peer consultation and team support.
Maintain clinical documentation that meets professional standards.
What We’re Looking For
Master’s or PhD in a related counselling or psychology field.
Registered (or eligible) with a governing body in British Columbia (e.g., RCC, RSW, R.Psych).
Current Professional Liability Insurance or willingness to obtain it.
1–2+ years of experience working with individuals with BPD and/or CPTSD.
Training in DBT or other evidence-based therapies for BPD (e.g., MBT, TFP, Schema Therapy).
Training in trauma-focused and phase-based treatments for CPTSD (e.g., IFS, SE, AF-EMDR, DBT-PE).
A deep commitment to empathy, authenticity, and anti-stigma work, with an appreciation for the relational and long-term nature of trauma healing.
A self-starter who values teamwork, personal growth, and professional integrity.
Strong Assets
Lived experience (the “wounded healer” perspective).
Experience facilitating DBT groups for adults or youth.
Training in couples or family therapy.
Evening or weekend availability.
What We Offer
Fully virtual work from anywhere in B.C., with flexible scheduling.
A steady stream of referrals, so you can focus on your clinical work.
Administrative and marketing support provided.
Peer consultation with a compassionate, like-minded team.
The opportunity to do deeply meaningful work that truly makes a difference.
